Should anyone ever need a fluent English-speaking bilingual tour guide on Flores, I heartily recommend Sílvio Medina. He was my (very young) guide back in 2002, and I liked him so much I wanted to bring him back home and adopt him (except I imagine his parents were quite fond of him, too)!
