I just received a flyer from AAA with a special pricing program
from SATA Azores Express. They are offering a 6 nights hotel plus
air fare ( non stop from Boston) package rates startring at $829.00
per person. and as AAA member you get an additional $25.00
discount. Additional charges are taxes, fees etc. Memtion the AAA
discount when booking. I used them 3 years ago and it was great.
the tel number given is 800-222-7448 and you can talk to them and find
out what hotels, dates etc are avaialble. Or AAA.com/travel on
line.
I am considering going again this year and am looking very
seriously at this promotion. When you figure air fare, and hotel,
which always includes breakfast for around $1000.00 is a real
bargain. You can't go to New York for that price. Hotels alone are
300.00 a night. I know I am going to the UN for a special 2 day
meeting and the costs are horrendous and the people are not as
friendly, New York will never be as clean as anywhere in the Azores,
including any City in the Azores. Swept streets, the cleanest public
restrooms I have ever been in, and the friendliest people I have ever
met anywhere including Asia, Europe, and the Caribean. I am so proud
of my Azorean heritage. Good luck and have fun in the "Old Country"
