My cousin died from a brain aneurysm. SHE was only 49 years old.
Counting my cousins, I come from a very large family. She is the only one that I know of that died from any kind of an aneurysm. (My aunt did smoke when she was pregnant.)

(I don't remember whether I've mentioned it here, but a little over a year
ago my husband suffered a near-fatal "brain aneurysm." He was one of the
lucky ones - as his large one had only leaked. Most people (of any age)
whose aneurysm "burst" do not survive it. And aneurysms within the torso
mostly kill. The surgeon said that aneurysms do run in families, but I
don't know if it is only in the male lines. His mother was Irish.)
