My first question would be does your friend have the marriage record from Fall River? The actual page recorded at the church where she was married may reveal the information she is seeking, Cheri knows about that. As a minimum the marriage record would have the parents' names which would give more information to go on along with the ages. I think the marriages for Massachusetts for that time period are on line so that may be a good place to start looking. Once you get a date and location for the marriage then the get a copy of the actual church document.
Rick Richard Francis Pimentel Spring, TX Formerly of Epping, New Hampshire Researching, Riberia Grande, Riberinha Ponta Delgada, and Achada Grande, Sao Miguel, Acores I was wondering if the names Francisco Pereira & Rosa Vicente were familiar to anyone on the list. A friend of mine is stuck at these 2 people on one of her lines. They were both born on Sao Miguel, we don't know where, but with different records stating different ages we are guessing they were born around 1875. On one Hawaii census, 1910, says he was 2 years older than her, then on a birth record of one of their children it says she was 2 yrs. older than him so we who knows! They met & married in Fall River, Mass. around 1899. Their first born child was born in May 1900 in Hawaii, which is where they went after they married. They stayed in Hawaii & died there. This is all we know & are trying to find out where they came from on Sao Miguel. Thanks, Sherry -- To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected].
