Hello Shirley & E, I'm a member of NEHGS....Marriage record for Francisco Pereira for the year 1899 in Fall River; Vol 488 - Page 197 shows the following:
Francisco Pereira, shown in record living in Portsmouth, RI...age 23...Farmer...born St. Michael's Azores...Parents Manuel, Jacintha Pereira. They were married October 21, 1899 in Fall River. Her name is shown as: Rosa da Conceicao, living at 181 Columbia, Fall River...her age was 25. It looks like she was working at a Hat Factory??? It shows "At hat factory". She's shown born in St. Michael's, Azores as well. Her parents are shown as: Damaso da ? & Francisca Vicente. First marriage for both according to the record. Hope this helps! It may not give you where in Sao Miguel, unfortunately, it might just say Sao Miguel. I will try and find their ship's manifest. I did notice the familysearch.org had some info on their children in HI but their are no images to view and from what I saw it did not give parent's place of birth.
