GOOD LUCK getting info from the people at the church in Mission San Jose. My
cousin and her parents used to live there.
My cousin tried to get help. They wouldn't let her look at the books because
"There are Indians listed in the book."

I received this from someone who lives in the Irvington district of
Fremont. It looks like Mission San Jose will be the place you need to look for

"The first Catholic church in Irvington was St. Leonard's. 1959. The second
Catholic church in Irvington was Santa Paula on Blacow Rd. (not sure of the
date). A couple of years ago both churches merged into one church called Our
Lady of Guadalupe.. We are now holding mass at the old St. Leonards site,
while waiting to get enough money to build a new Church at the Santa Paula
site. Up until 1959 all of us Irvington catholic attended St. Joseph's in
Mission San Jose."
