Questions about passports: 1. Were passports required to leave the Azores? 2. I have been looking through the "Registo de Passaportes" for a person who left the Azores in 1904-1905. If his name does not appear in the register, can I assume that he left through other, unconventional means? 3. There was a passport for an older brother issued in 1905 and probably not used by him. Is it likely that his younger brother used this passport to travel to the United States? Thanks!
