My Grandfather: Jacintho Furtado Garcia, Jr. b.1 April 1868 The Azores d. 5 
Nov 1945 Franklin MA
                         came to Boston in about 1883, where my Dad was 
born in 1900, He supposedly 
                         came alone or with unknown persons.

                         His father and mother followed in about 1892
                         Jacintho Furtado Garcia Sr b.Feb 1834 The Azores 
 d. 21 March 1903 New Bedford MA
                         Maria Isabel Rosa Garcia  b. 15 May 1824 The 
Azores  d.6 April 1922 New Bedford MA
                         It appears that they lived in New Bedford the 
whole time with their daughter...I found them in the 1900 census and her in 
                         the 1920 census. They are buried at St. John's 
Cemetery in New Bedford.
                         Jacintho Sr, father is listed as Jose F Garcia and 
mother as Cecilia Conceicon

My Grandmother: Emilia Sousa Garcia  b. 26 Aug 1871 Terceira  d. 26 Feb 
1927 Wilmington, MA
                          She came with her parents and siblings in 1883. I 
have no idea where they met but they lived in Quincy/Boston in
                          1900 when my Dad was born.

                           Her parents are listed as: Mary Silva b. The 
Azores d. Massachusetts  
                                                                 Manuel 
Silveira S Sousa b.Terceira d. Massachusetts
