Ellen, When people match with Family Finder (usually within the last 200 years from the testee's birth) their name and email will show up in your Match section. John has done DNA testing, but not the Family Finder. If he does Family Finder and you do Family Finder and your families connect within 200 years of your births, then you may show up as matches on each other's pages. And so will anyone else from that same tree, within certain percentages of each generation.
