Cheri,

I can understand the Russia problem. Catherine the Great's manifesto
brought many Germans into Russia and they settled around the Volga River
and later branched out to other areas of Russia. One of my grandsons is
descended from a German-Volga family and this family has been traced
directly back to Germany ca 1750 as well as many others. I know many
passed through Poland later on their way to Germany and maybe settled there
but mostly to come to the US. To say these people are Russian would
be clearly incorrect.
