Like many things, I learn by example. My cousins in Angra, all living, have more than one book that shows all their family trees published by Forjaz.
But like you said, it's OK because it's science, I suppose.

Hi Doug,--Where did you get the idea that recent information is published?? By law, only data that's more than 100 years old is being made available. The rest is all in the civil parishes, where you have a sort of 'FOIA' right to request a copy of any vital record, but I wouldn't call it publishing...Then again, you might think that 100 years is recent.
