It will take some time to figure it out with that many years to cover. I don't know how to do research from Brasil. I don't know if Brasil has local genealogy societies, libraries, etc to help you in your search. You need to find sources in Brasil that will give you clues to the Azores. I know that Brasil does have Family History Centers, so maybe that will be a place for you to start. You have to start with what you know and work back. Many of us can't go much past 300 years (1700s) let alone the 1600 or 1500s. Very few records exist. I have only a few lines that far back.
