Hi Doug, Caetano de Sousa is pai incognito and according to NEPS born in Horta (Conceicao) to Agueda da Boa Nova. I found his marriage to Jacinta Rosa in Matriz Horta 1727-1802 page 0182. It appears his mother is from Bandeiras but it's unclear and I don't see Pico mentioned in the record. There's a side note that is unclear to me. I haven't noticed any marches with you or your dad. I also keep the DNA for my Uncle, John Cardoza Baptiste and I haven't noticed a match to you with him either. Nancy, Did you realize this Caetano de Sousa is actually from Pico?I probably won't be able to prove it, but there is a decent chance I'm related to him.I don't remember. Are we showing as related from Family Finder? If so, maybe this is the link.
