Distant cousins
Hi, Maria!
I had my brother do the Family Finder and came up with a zillion   ;-)
names, all of which sounded Slavic.  One whose surname is Chernick is supposed
to be a direct male relative from ages ago.  But how did "Seriqui" become
"Chernick"?

Hello group!
I've done my DNA with Family tree DNA and haved matched at the 5th cousin level
with a person in Denmark.  I am 100% Azorean. Both my mother and father were
from Sao Miguel. Has anyone else had unusual family finder matches?  I have a
few other strange matches to people with no apparent Portuguese ancestry, but
this man from Denmark contacted me and we are trying to figure out our possible
connection.
Thanks,
Maria Natalia
