Now I’m on a search for Manuel’s father Francisco Jose (Feitor) da Costa. Thank you for the marriage record. In the margin of the record, I believe it says that Francisco was 25 and Maria de Jesus was 18. This would mean that he would have been born around 1791. I searched through all of the Matriz birth records from 1786 through 1799 and I couldn’t find him. I also looked in Sao Pedro. Will keep hunting......
