It looks to me like the priest (Paulo Silveira Bettencourt) baptized the child because they thought he might die. Witnesses were (my guess) Jose de Souza Silveira Bettencourt and Joao Jose de Bettencourt.
I am interested since I have connections to Rosais and Norte Grande, plus a DNA match (5th to remote cousin) between myself and your husband.
