Hi Carol, SATA has recently lowered rates. Since I'm in the center of the country in my opinion through Boston....I don't like to fly to Terceira (except to visit with Joao Ventura!) because you arrive early am and can't fly to Pico until around 5 in the afternoon....when flying from Boston to Ponta Delgada you land early am and then there's a plane to Pico around 9am. If you were to visit in Terceira for a few days that would be different but when trying to get right to Pico it makes for a very long day! Does anyone know what is the best way to fly to the Azores from Los Angeles? Would it be through Boston,Toronto or NYC and flying directly to Terceria or should we go through Lisbon to Terceirra? We especially want to take in Pico de Lajes and Madeleina. Does anyone remeember the name of the travel agent who arrranged the Artesia DES Band trip or the San Diego Filarmonica Band Trip? Any help would be appreciated!
