The certificate notations do not usually state the reason. Some of the reasons may be: passport, identity booklet (pre present), identity card, marriage and as many as the judicial would deem needed. The right margin notes refer to certificates (copies) being made and the left margin I believe refers to Antonio Soares Coelho's death on 18 January 1925 (registered 29 january 1925, Vila do Porto?). Also, I can see that the right side margin lists some dates, I think I see 8 August 1864 and 30 June 1870 along with the priest's name: Mello but; I can't read what those dates are referring to. And I can't make out any of what is written in the left margin. Any and all help is much appreciated.
