Of course, you just gave cited a clue by using the name Algarvia. It is 
possible they went and lived in Algarvia and thus the nickname Algarvia. I 
have ancestors that lived in three places. It depends on the circumstances 
of what lands they owned, or where the work was. So try looking in Algarvia 
for Antonio and all baptisms between 1856 and 1860!
