I am also writing to announce that GEDmatch has recently instituted a program called Tier 1 that will provide new tools, many of which we could not previously make available due to their expense and large data requirements. Tier 1 will also provide financial stability necessary for our rapid growth. While there is a membership fee of $10 per month for Tier 1, please be assured that our basic services will remain outside of Tier 1 and will remain free to all users. In appreciation for your previous donations, we are making Tier 1 available to you at no expense for a limited period of time. Your free membership in Tier 1 begins now and will remain in effect for the number of months equal to the total donations you have made to GEDmatch since January 1, 2013, divided by $10. If you are receiving this email, you should also see a new box on your GEDmatch home page titled 'Tier 1'. It contains links to programs that are not available to non-Tier 1 GEDmatch users. Since Tier 1 memberships are based on email addresses it is possible that we may be missing some of your donations if you have used another email address in making a donation or mailed a check during this period.
