Hi Rick,

The record was provided by George Pacheco, not by me. And I think it´s the
correct one.

Margaret provided what I believe is the correct marriage.

when I analyzed everything I came to the conclusion that this is the correct
one. I have attached the work sheet. This was posted this past Tuesday to the
list Subject: names change over time. The record that Manoel provided below
does not work in the analysis. What I like in my analysis is that the last
names make sense to me. I was told by another researcher on the back channel
that it looked good.

Congratulations George!

This marriage is on the Canto index for Bretanha but Dr. Ernesto do Canto made
a mistake! Francisco da Rocha is named as Francisco da Costa in the index!

I have been looking for the marriage of Francisco da Rocha and Antonia Aguiar
in the Bretanha records I estimate they were married around 1749+-?. The
marriage records for that time period 1703-1779 are a complete disaster and
very hard to search. I have also looked in George Pacheco’s Book but he was not
able to find it although he lists them as married(most likely from their sons
marriage). I have also looked through the Carlos Machado disk form Fr. Viverios.

This is the marriage of his son (Antonio Aguiar) on 15 Mar 1788 (left side)

What I don’t have access with is Rodrigo Rogers and Ernesto Canto. Could they
have noted this family?
