Update I found my great grandmother' s passport (Maria Inacia Ventura of Ribeirinha, Terceira) leaving Terceira with her two children Laura (my grandmother) and Francisco, born in Rio de Janeiro to come to the USA. I also found the Brazil civil registrations of their birth being records ( I already had them but through a professional so I wanted to locate them myself- helped once I found the district in Rio). For the older children I have their baptisms (hired a professional for these). I'm wanting to locate the baptism of my grandmother. I looked but did not find it. It is so hard because there seems to be missing books, out of order - missing pages, hard to read , etc. I hate using the micro film makes me sick of my stomach (sea-sick). Still missing records but will continue to search. D
