Hello, Contact the Honolulu Catholic Diocese. http://www.catholichawaii.org
I was able to find an ancestor's baptism record from 1884, Hilo. Also, if any of their children were baptized, thats another possible source of information...or, civil and catholic marriages of their children may give a clue. Did Jose ever work for a sugar plantation? There are some plantation archive records that are available, Hawaiian Sugar Plantation Association archives, Just keep working at it. -- For options, such as changing to List, Digest, Abridged, or No Mail (vacation) mode, log into your Google account and visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/Azores.
