Lillian, You need to download the Genealogical Word List from either FamilySearch.org or the AzoresGenWeb site. The Word list is your best bet as it has the words you need to know for reading the records. There is also the Portuguese Paleography list of Latin and unfamiliar words used in the records. The Paleography can also be downloaded from Kathy Cardoza's AzoresGenWeb site.
