My husband's aunt's father came to the U.S. to earn money to send for his wife and son from Portugal. It took ten (10 years) before his wife finally got in the U.S. Therefore, there is a ten year gap between his children. Interesting…as far as I know he never came to the US but there could be a second marriage because the birthdates of my grandmother’s known siblings begin a good 10 years later.
