I don't have ancestors from Faial. But I do know that NEPS has errors, as I've utilized it here or there and other have reported errors. Blending 2 different people of the same name is most likely a problem on NEPS.
Sometimes, it's good to shelve something and go chase an easier line for awhile and then come back to it.
