No, anything on the Internet, whether it is FamilySearch or Ancestry or
Geni or a personal web page or or or. All are suspect in my book.
Especially if they don't bother to source it. They've copied someone else.

If it says Fred Flintstone was born 1 Jan 100 B.C. in Bedrock, I go to the
Bedrock births and find the birth record for Fred. My source is then the
Bedrock Birth Records and I make a citation for that. I may have used
FamilySearch or whatever as a guideline to speed up my research, but I
don't cite them. Same thing if I find Fred Flintstone married Wilma
Slaghoople on 1 Jun 80 B.C. in Bedrock. I go for the marriage record
itself, only using the information from the Web to point me in the right
direction. If it says Fred died 1 Dec 50 B.C. and lists no location, I may
look around that date in Bedrock and then expand my search to other
localities where his kids are living or expanding over town by town,
looking to see if he died in a hospital a larger town over.

However, as I'm researching Fred I see that the tree mentions Wilma is from
Slaterock. Although I'm up to my eyeballs in Flinstones in Bedrock and I'm
working on locating the actual records there, I will enter in my genealogy
program that Wilma was born in Slaterock? I put a question mark after it.
That's my sign that I need to check it out. In my memo field I write that I
found it on FamilySearch or the Flintstone Tree on Ancestry, but I don't
make a citation for it. When I finish up with the Flinstones, I then go
back and start working the Slaghooples. I can see my notation to go back to
the tree on FamilySearch or wherever, and use that as a guideline to find
the records in Slaterock to trace Wilma et al.
