Hello All: For the past few weeks I have been trying to find all the marriages of my 6X grandfather Manoel Alveres Figueira (Bagango), I know he has been married at least three times.
His last marriage (that I know of) was to Josefa Alfonsa in June 1752 http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-PV-MAEDEDEUS-C-1712-1766/SMG-PV-MAEDEDEUS-C-1712-1766_item1/P273.html (left page). This record lists him a the widower of Luzia Cabral. Manoel and Luzia were married on 13 Mar 1726 http://culturacores.azores.gov.pt/biblioteca_digital/SMG-PV-MAEDEDEUS-C-1712-1766/SMG-PV-MAEDEDEUS-C-1712-1766_item1/P81.html (left page). Here is the widower of Izabel da Costa. Manoel & Izabel's marriage is the one that I cannot find. I have searched the casamentos records for all of Povoacao, Nordeste, Vila Franca do Campo, and most of Ribeira Grande for the years of 1700 - 1708. Any assistance/suggestions on where to look are greatly appreciated.
