Hello folks, I've seen many of you in the group talk about your visits to the Açores - the place you've stayed and the contacts you've used to get around the island - never thinking I would ever need more specific details. Until today. My husband surprised me by saying that he'd would like to take me to the Sāo Miguel this year or next for a vacation (read: genealogical quest) and asked me to plan it. I know exactly where on the island I'd like to visit (Bretanha, Rabo de Peixe, Lagoa, Furnas) but I know we'll need someone who can get us there and hopefully into the churches for research. I'm hoping our collective brain trust can put me in the right direction for such an adventure.
