said that João Inacio de Souza was burried on 1801, october (no day date). This
record is a sentence of the parish priest who did it by request of Umbelina
Jacinta. The sentence date is 1807, 14 march.The correct date of the marriage
of Umbelina Jacinta with Francisco da Costa is 1807, 15 march (not 14
march).Then, before her 2nd marriage, Umbelina Jacinta needed a sentence to
confirm her 1st husband is died.

someone forgot to enter the obito of Joao Inacio Sousa in
the records of Ponta Garca. So, by order of the district
Reverendo, a record was entered stating that he died in
Oct
of 1801. The order was made March 12- 1807, just before
Umbelina Jacinta married a second time to Francisco da
Costa
on March 15- 1807.

who are the ancestors that lead to Jacinto Luis and Teresa
de Jesus. It may help to trace your ancestors. Sometimes
people carry names forward that do not appear in their
official records until much later. For example your Joao
Inacio [cc Francisca de Jesus] was AKA Joao Inacio da
Costa
or Joao Inacio da Rocha.

lower right . It does not follow the
standard format of
the obito records before or after. The
entry date of the
record is 12 Mar 1807 which is in
sequence with the other
records in the book. It is beginning to
look like Umbelina
Jacinta and Francisco da Costa were
getting married and they
need to find the death record of her late
husband Joao
Ignacio de Sousa, I can’t make all of
the record out,
perhaps someone with more experience can.
It talks about
Jose Ignacio being deceased and had been
married to Umbelina
Jacinta in the parish stated above (Ponta
Garca), I see
another date on the record 1801. I am
convinced that her
first husband died and could not be the
father of her son
Joao. The baptism of Joao on 17 Nov 1807
clearly states that
Francisco da Costa is the father.

just jumped the gun getting a family
started. Joao Ignacio
de Sousa died much earlier to be the
father. As far as the
name it could have been just one of those
Portuguese naming
