Hello Caroline, I believe I have a connection to your Gomes/Brown line. Was Mary A. Brown's parents, Francisco Silveira de Brum Brown and Maria Lewis? Mary A. Brown died in June 1973 - Seaside, California? If so, another sister, Rose E. Brown married Tony L. Gomes. I have some paper documents from research I've done on my lines from the Watsonville, CA area. I'm happy to look for you to see if I have any additional information.
