Today I did find an obit online at Legacy.com from the Modesto Bee for one of his sons (Frank's brother), Manuel J Gomes. He was born in Modesto on Feb 28, 1917 and died on October 7, 2002 in Newman - and buried in OR. After reading thru, I did confirm he is the brother of Frank and the other siblings. But no info was mentioned on his parents, Manuel or Mary. Ah well...I am slowing getting the pieces together.
