Take what St. Patrick's Church gives you with a grain of salt. If they tell you they have no records, don't assume that's the truth. I was told they did not have a death record from my relative F.J. Bettencourt who dies in Watsonville around 1933. Guess what? When I visited Watsonville, I walked across the street from the church to the cemetery and low and behold I found the burial of F.J. Bettencourt.
Since it's close, I would also recommend checking Hollister records. I've found relatives buried in the Catholic Cemetery there as well.
