I wonder if anyone can give me a lead on the above person. There is a lot of evidence that the correct last name may have been Miquelina rather than Souza, but I can't get anywhere with either of them.
He was born in Sao Vincente on the Island of Sao Miguel and the birthdate is 8/29/1876 He emigrated to either the US or to Brazil but wound up in Fall River where he married Maria Elizabeth Rocha born in Santo Antonio on Sao Miguel on July 4, 1882. The family moved to Stonington CT sometime around 1923. I have found census recordsfrom 1940 for the portion of the family that moved to Stonington of which my father, Benjamin Souza, was a part.
