My name is Priscilla and about a year ago I did a DNA test through ancestry and ever since then I’ve been obsessed with building my family tree. I have my great grandmother sister who will be100 years old next month and I thought I do a DNA test on her. So I went to vila Franca do campo today to drop off the test so the care giver can do it. During all this I was asking questions on my great grandmother’s father and mother. So I asked to see her citizenship card and on the back it says her father is Manuel soares raleza and her mother was maria Jose Ventura. When I seen the last name Raleza I thought this has to be a mistake because I have never Heard this as a Portuguese family name. So as soon as I got home of course I went on the Internet, searches the family name and found this wonderful post I am praying that Antonio soares raleza is my great great grandfathers brother! My family came from Vila Franca do campo.. fingers crossed!!!!!
