An updated version of the Sao Jorge Marriage Index with submitted corrections has been posted. Additionally, we have added the capability to search the entire index right from the Sao Jorge Marriage Index page, from any field or combination of fields you choose. This is an exciting addition to this wonderful index and will allow you to search for partial names, dates, etc. For instance, if your couple was a Manuel married to a Barbara, surnames unknown or unsure of, from Velas about the year 1720, you enter those criteria and will get results, if there are any. These 5 books include the Wills for Sao Jorge from 1518-1666. They are being made available thanks to the efforts of Angela Cardoso Reis.
