Hi Pere,

I think only the caph preposition indicates when.  I am convinced that שֶׁ  is
functioning as a relative pronoun.   I answered the way I did because you
asked the question in terms of grammar.  But, yes, the relative pronoun
then does refer back to the "evil time."
