Ps 31:7 says "I have hated ..", but LXX and RSV translate it "You have
hated".

Leupold says, "Many interpreters render the first words of the verse, 'Thou
Lord hatest", a translation which is possible if the final letter is
regarded as an abbreviation of Yahweh, which it often is."

Can anyone tell me any examples where a final yod on a verb is an
abbreviation for God's name?

Thank you.

Sincerely yours,

"I'm cut off 'fore Thine eyes".

Yet You gave ear to my voice

when unto Thee I cried. (Ps 31:22)
