Before the thread closes, I will share some relevant data I have collected. I do not feel inclined to interpret these data or draw conclusions on this list. Here is a list of the oldest manuscripts of the LXX, in chronological order. I hope the formatting comes through the listserve. The first column has the number Rahlfs and Fraenkel gave the manuscript for the Goettingen editions of the Septuagint. The next column provides its number in the Leuven Database of Ancient Books. The third column has the manuscript name as a link to images provided by this database; the data and contents columns are also taken from the LDAB. In the final column has a note on the treatment of the Tetragrammaton.

I've found in this thread much to think about, so I thank the moderators for allowing it to continue so far. But, at this point, hasn't it run its course? Haven't all the participants already made their points? Isn't it time to put an end to it??? -- William Parsons μὴ φαίνεσθαι, ἀλλ' εἶναι. _______________________________________________ b-hebrew mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> http://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/listinfo/b-hebrew _______________________________________________ b-hebrew mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> http://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/listinfo/b-hebrew
