So, just so I understand this correctly, it's perfectly fine to provide an alternative way of seeing the list of programmes available in iPlayer, with a link to the BBC Flash pages to actually play them. Are you also happy for people to grab the underlying rtmp stream without going anywhere near the Flash applets or the web at all?
