I'll try again: File sharing is an definitive part of friendship in the 21st century, in parts of the world with high density access to computers. Example: Your friend sends you an instant message, "Have you seen [random-artistic-work]?" and you reply "No, but send me a copy and I will." and they initiate the file transfer, or send you the torrent file. Example: Your friend comes over with her laptop, and you start watching a film, but decide to go out and pause it. You copy the file and finish watching it later. These kinds of things are part of the social fabric of life where everyone has broadband and laptops. When copy restrictions are put in place, that part of the social fabric gets torn up. -- Regards, Dave Personal opinion only, not the views of any employers. - Sent via the backstage.bbc.co.uk discussion group.
