ASP? I would rather eat my own excrement. If you have a "search engine" I am sure you can afford to have a Windows server in there somewhere with, say, VB.NET and an IE control. It's about twenty lines of VB to get a URL from a queue, send it to the IE control, wait for it to complete the loading, grab the control's image and JPEG it.
I'm sure it would be far too slow to do it in real time.
