If you have a "search engine" I am sure you can afford to have a Windows
server in there somewhere with, say, VB.NET <http://VB.NET>  and an IE
control.  It's about twenty lines of VB to get a URL from a queue, send it
to the IE control, wait for it to complete the loading, grab the control's
image and JPEG it.

I'm sure it would be far too slow to do it in real time.  Not quite so sure
how you would then identify where the words are on the page though.

Even if it is flash it does look good, similar to piclens in how it works,
I'm surprised its not by the same people.
I wonder who they are using to get the screen shots


I thought the way to do this is to use the Internet Explorer ActiveX control
to render the page, and then save the bitmap content?
