If you need to look at a forum - have a look at TidBits.com and the
forums they run that actually let you participate using email, but
it is a commercial product that they use. http://
www.webcrossing.com/ has details of it. It is mature and does work,
you can customise and extend it - no connection etc with them etc etc.
