You could give the laptop two IP addresses - one for wired connection
and one for wireless - and use different configurations for what the
BackupPC processes will consider to be two different machies.  The two
different configurations would tell BackupPC how often to back up, and
which type of backup to use (full or incremental).  It doesn't matter
that you'll have two sets of data for the same machine, and it doesn't
matter that most of the time one of the two will be inaccessible.
