Sadly, no. The machine is due for decommisioning (I've been trying for years, but management...). I still have to back it up though.

If it's an old rsync issue, I can keep BackupPC 3 running for a while longer.

The other issue is a stranger one. BackupPC 4 backs up 3 of the 4 directories. It says the 4th has no files, yet it's quite large.

This is a very old rsync (~14 years old).  Can you try a more recent rsync on the client?

Some of the Rsync config parameters are used differently in 4.x.
So if you copied the config over you could have some settings
    that aren't right.

    What's your value of $Conf{RsyncSshArgs} and $Conf{RsyncArgs}?

Please post the full rsync_bpc command from the XferLOG.bad file.

        Hi,

        I'm building a 4.3.2 backup server. Currently running a
        3.3.0 server.

I configured a few machine for test backups, and I'm getting
strange results. For example, if I backup three directories
(say /etc, /root, and /var/www I consistently get one of
those back as no files dumped. There are definitely files
there, as 3.3.0 backs them up just fine.

        2020-02-19 13:56:11 Created directory

2020-02-19 14:04:36 Backup aborted (No files dumped for
        share /var/lib/pydio)

This is via an rsync backup and happens are more than half
my servers, though I seem to be having a similar issue with
my one SMB backups as well.

        Any ideas what's going on?
