You did not understood what free software is, free software is not free beer. If you want to use a "gratis software to do backups" it would be better if you crack a proprietary program and use that... I think that Bacula project is the right way to administer a free software project and make money with it, bacula project and bacula systems al well balanced. Bacula is protected by GPL2 and FLA, free sofware doesn't mean that you MUST give code on the internet, you need to give the code to people who receive the binary, and bacula systems is doing this well. Read the GPL2, contribute to bacula project and after that it will be better if you talk, most of free software projects are do-o-cracy.
