The Baha'i Studies Listserv benjamin, an actual study of english, like get real and get over study wouldidictae that century "means" 10 x 10 ...since cricket and snooker players use the term. they might look at an explanation from the Master for another number...to get a range for triangulation. they migt find that 144,000 = 12^2 x10^3= "means" ...really big. ad has nothing to do with a quantity. they might note that "century" descrbies an ocean liner or a buick, since 10x10 = excellence....to exactly the same degree that 9= perfection. a thoro study of anguage might have one noting that "meaning" is always contextual... and we're right back to derrida and fulcrums. ok. what is the fulcrum? the infallibility of the Guardian and the House. which "means" to my reading in 2008, that anybody whose vain imaginings were that xyz unspecified event would happen before 31december,2000, is misreading the "meaning."
