The Baha'i Studies Listserv
I have received on this laptop so far 21 e-mails on the subject of enrolled
or unenrolled or disenrolled.
How is this helpful to any one?
What one should say is that Sen MacGlinn and Alison Marshall are very very
learned about the Bahai Faith and its studies and its books and its
teachings...
I testify to their knowledge and the magnitude of their knowledge...
This is a Bahai Studies list.
Therefore:
What benefit is to be obtained by going on about people and the state of
their enrollment.
In the future there will be infinitely more enrolled, disenrolled,
unenrolled, un-enrollable human beings on this planet.
But :
In the last century in 1997-1998 there was a man on this list Vinson Jamir
who has passed on who was enamoured of Bahai Studies. Because of useful
conversation on this list___ useful for TEACHING useful in bringing a
Christian/a Jew/ a Sunni/ A Shii'ih/ to the recognition of the Faith of
Bahá'u'lláh ___because the late Vinson liked it and liked positive
conversation he sent this lowly servant a CD (ALIM) of the Holy Qur'an 3000
miles away as I am from his dust...
And Moojan Momen placed his whole Islam & the Bahai Faith on this list...in
those days.
What we must all agree upon is that the rate of our growth is small very
small and that we must grow, grow according to the Plans laid by God and His
Faith, grow in spirituality, grow in absolute humility.
We must realize our Faith is NOT a religious system. ( reference 1)
We ought to realize the 4 attributes our Faith a ( reference 2) and the
Studies of It should possess and leave the rest to providence to God to
Bahá'u'lláh the Hearer and Answerer of ALL prayers (reference 3) be they
enrolled or disenrolled and He alone knows whether as I write this I will
end up, enrolled, or disenrolled, weak or strong, faithful or losing my
faith and certatinties

The implication and significance of this ONE statement is incredible and
worthy of a thesis

The Universal House of Justice do not say only "enrolled" Bahais can pray to
Bahá'u'lláh or only "disenrolled" ones...
Please I have found all these 21 e-mails very depressing and after 15 years
I do not even know how to UNSUBSCRIBE my lowly ephemeral name from it
