Actually, in a lot of the world, your asking such a question would be
considered silly; people typically keeping their birth name after
marriage.
And in some areas, no one but the immediate family knows a persons given
name. They acquire what might be called nicknames, but are commonly
refereed to by a statement of relationship that varies according to who
is talking about them. The first Khmer we enrolled in Des Moines were
like that. They were enrolled under their 'formal' name they used
during emigration, but when the first election occurred, even the few
that could read the ballot had no idea who the names referred to. In a
few cases it was the cause of some amusement.
